Chapter 245 The Young Master is Missing
Chapter 245 The Young Master is Missing
She walked over to Erbao and Sanbao and asked softly, "Do you like playing with Qibao?"
Erbao and Sanbao snapped out of their daze and quickly greeted, "Hello, Great-Grandma!"
Erbao nodded with a smile, "Qibao is very cute, and she has a very sweet tongue. We all like to play with her."
Grandma Tan nodded in satisfaction, and was about to say something more when Qibao suddenly ran over and grabbed her hand, "Great-Grandma, let's go play over there!"
Her face showed a hint of urgency, as if afraid that Grandma Tan might reveal something. Grandma Tan paused for a moment, then smiled and nodded, "Alright, alright, let's go over there."
Erbao and Sanbao couldn't help but smile at Qibao's blushing face. Sanbao whispered to Erbao, "Is Qibao shy?"
Erbao smiled and shook his head. "Who knows? But she's really cute like this."
Qibao pulled Grandma Tan away, not forgetting to turn back and glare at Erbao and Sanbao, which made the two laugh even harder. Grandma Tan looked at Qibao, her eyes full of doting, and whispered, "Qibao, are you up to something?"
Qibao's face turned even redder, and she quickly shook her head, "No, no! Great-Grandma, let's go eat cake!"
As the banquet drew to a close, guests began to leave, leaving only a few scattered people in the hall.
Qibao stood in the center of the banquet hall, her little face filled with anxiety. She looked around, but couldn't find Liubao and Dabao anywhere.
"Where did my brothers go?" Qibao muttered, running around the banquet hall with her short legs. She first ran to the lounge, peeked out, then turned and ran towards the play area, but still couldn't see Liubao and Dabao.
Su Yingxue, arm in arm with Tan Zhengchu, was about to leave when she saw Qibao running around and couldn't help but call out, "Qibao, it's time to go home!"
Hearing her mother's voice, Qibao ran over with a pout, her eyes red-rimmed. "Mommy, I can't find my two older brothers, Dabao and Liubao. Do they not want me anymore?"
Su Yingxue was taken aback for a moment, then squatted down and gently patted Qibao's head. "Don't talk nonsense. How could your two older brothers, Dabao and Liubao, not want you? They probably just went to play."
Tan Zhengchu frowned and whispered to Su Yingxue, "Make a call and ask where they are."
Su Yingxue nodded, took out her phone and dialed Liu Bao and Da Bao's numbers, but all she heard was a cold voice saying, "The number you dialed is currently switched off."
Her heart sank, and her face turned pale instantly. "Why is it off? They never do this."
Tan Zhengchu noticed her unease and gently took her hand. "Don't worry, the phone might be out of battery. Let's look for it again."
At this moment, Grandma Tan came over after seeing off her guests.
Seeing Qibao's anxious expression, Grandma Tan couldn't help but ask, "Qibao, what's wrong? Why are you in such a hurry?"
Qibao looked up, tears welling in her eyes, "Great-Grandma, I can't find my two older brothers, Dabao and Liubao. They're gone!"
Grandma Tan was taken aback for a moment, then laughed and said, "How could they be missing? They probably just went out to have some fun."
Su Yingxue shook her head, her voice tinged with panic, "Mom, I called them, but their phones are off. I'm worried something happened to them."
Tan Zhengchu patted Su Yingxue on the shoulder and comforted her, "Don't worry, those two boys are very smart, they'll be fine. I'll send someone to look for them."
After he finished speaking, he immediately ordered his men to search the entire hotel. But as time passed, there was still no news of Liu Bao and Da Bao.
Qibao finally couldn't hold back anymore and burst into tears, "I want my two older brothers, Dabao and Liubao! Don't they want me anymore?"
Su Yingxue hugged Qibao tightly, her voice choked with emotion, "Qibao, be good. Mommy misses them too. We will definitely find them."
As she spoke, tears streamed down her face uncontrollably. "It's all my fault. I haven't been paying enough attention to them lately, and now I've lost them..."
Seeing this, Grandma Tan was extremely anxious. She gripped her cane tightly and said firmly, "No, it can't be. My two great-grandsons are so smart, how could they disappear? Zhengchu, send someone to look for them again, and ask their classmates and friends."
Tan Zhengchu nodded and immediately ordered his men to expand the search area. But he was also a little flustered. Although Liubao and Dabao were mischievous, they would never disappear without a word like this.
Seeing Su Yingxue and Qibao crying together, Grandma Tan couldn't help but wipe away her own tears. "What are we going to do? Where did the two children go?"
Tan Zhengchu looked at the three women in front of him—Grandma Tan, Su Yingxue, and Qibao—and felt a pang of helplessness. He sighed and said softly, "Don't worry, I will definitely find them."
After he finished speaking, he turned around, walked to the side, took out his phone, dialed a number, and said in a cold tone, "Immediately retrieve all the hotel's surveillance footage. I need to know the last location where Liu Bao and Da Bao were."
Tan Zhengchu's face was terribly gloomy. He strode towards the hotel's monitoring room and kicked open the tightly closed door.
The door slammed heavily against the wall with a loud "bang," startling the staff inside who jumped to their feet.
"Who...who are you? This is the monitoring room, you can't just come in like this!" A staff member instinctively picked up a stun gun, his voice trembling, but he still managed to warn him.
Tan Zhengchu's face was cold, his gaze sweeping over the man like a knife, his steps unwavering. He walked straight to the monitoring computer, his tone icy, "Get out of my way."
The staff member was intimidated by his imposing manner and instinctively took a step back, but quickly mustered his courage and raised his stun gun to try to stop him, saying, "If you don't leave, I'll call security!"
Tan Zhengchu's eyes turned cold, and he raised his hand and swung it, knocking the stun gun out of the man's hand.
Then he kicked him away with force. The man staggered backward, crashing into the wall and wincing in pain.
Just then, the hotel manager rushed over.
He recognized Tan Zhengchu at a glance, his face instantly turning pale. He hurriedly shouted to the others, "Everyone, get out! This is Mr. Tan, you mustn't be rude!"
The staff looked at each other, puzzled, but quickly left.
The third brother walked into the monitoring room at this moment, his face solemn. "Zhengchu, the brothers have turned the hotel upside down, but we still haven't found the two young masters, Dabao and Liubao."
Tan Zhengchu did not respond, but sat in front of the computer with a cold face, his fingers flying across the keyboard.
As the surveillance footage flashed by frame by frame, his gaze was as sharp as a hawk's, not missing a single detail.
