Chapter 1 She Time-Traveled
Chapter 1 She Time-Traveled
Chu Xinyao found a small shea tree on the edge of a cliff. Carefully climbing the tree, she stood on tiptoe, trying to reach the nearest, still somewhat unripe fruit.
Unbeknownst to them, a green shadow was approaching from their feet.
"Be careful."
"Be careful."
An unfamiliar male voice rang out along with Long Tingting's voice.
The green figure sprang up with a "whoosh" and bit her ankle.
"Ah!" The scream had barely escaped her lips when a tingling sensation ran through her wound. Her legs buckled, and she fell backward.
Just as she was about to fall off the cliff, a gust of wind blew, and Chu Xinyao landed in a warm embrace.

Chu Xinyao looked up and met a stunningly handsome face. She wasn't good at judging people's ages, but the person in front of her was clearly a young man. Although he was tall and slender, his upper lip was still covered in fuzz. The young man had a high, straight nose, but his eyes were exceptionally clear. His long, silver-white hair cascaded down his bare upper body. He had broad shoulders and a lean, powerful waist; apart from his well-defined muscles, there wasn't an ounce of excess fat.
The boy stared blankly at the female in his arms, his eyes filled with amazement. He had traveled all over the Beast God Continent and had never seen such a stunning beauty.
Her skin was fair and delicate, her face was small and delicate, and beneath her arched eyebrows were a pair of eyes as bright as stars. Her long, seaweed-like hair danced in front of his chest, stirring his heartstrings.
Sensing Chu Xinyao's gaze, the boy revealed two small tiger teeth, "I found you, so you're my female now. Let's have some babies!"
ha?
Chu Xinyao stared at him blankly, wondering what this little brat who hadn't even grown his first hair was saying.
Before she could say anything, a sharp pain shot through her wound, causing her to groan.
Upon seeing this, the boy picked up Chu Xinyao and ran towards his temporary residence.
The wind whistled past as the boy carried her and ran through the woods as if she were nothing.
......
Two hours earlier, in the lush primeval forest, sunlight filtered through the dense canopy, casting dappled shadows.
On the huge ancient tree, the figure of a woman can be vaguely seen, lying quietly among the leaves. Her face is exquisite, her long eyelashes are slightly curled, her skin is porcelain white, and a light-colored dress gently wraps her petite body.
After a long while, the girl's eyelashes trembled slightly, and she slowly opened her eyes.
Chu Xinyao looked around in confusion. She was surrounded by ancient trees, each one laden with fruit she had never seen before.
A question arose in her mind:
What kind of tree is this? Why is it so big? And why is she here?
Chu Xinyao struggled to sit up, supporting herself with her hands, her gaze stretching upwards along the thick tree trunk.
She stood up, gently stroking the tree trunk, feeling the moist, fresh air that filled the forest—a rare sight in her post-apocalyptic world.
Looking down, the ground was about 5 or 6 meters above the ground. The vegetation below was lush, with many shrubs, thorns, and various vines, some laden with fruit, others covered in sharp thorns. The ground was overgrown with weeds and covered in moss.
At the base of the tree where she was, there were several brightly colored large mushrooms, the kind with red caps and white stems, the kind that you eat and then lie flat on the ground.
The surrounding trees were of different kinds, with different leaves and fruits. But all the trees had one thing in common: they were all exceptionally large.
The sheer size of the vegetation exceeded her expectations; it wasn't just the trees, but the other plants seemed magnified several times over in reality.
Is she dreaming?
After hesitating for a moment, she lay back down on the ancient tree branch, folded her hands over her slightly hungry stomach, and slowly closed her eyes.
Although her real-life post-apocalyptic world wasn't much better, with terrifying zombies, she still wanted to stay in a populated area rather than in this eerie giant tree forest.
Ten minutes later, Chu Xinyao, wearing only a thin dress, shivered and tugged at her skirt.
Although I could see the sun overhead, the trees here were so dense that it still felt so cold!
Why hasn't she gone back yet?
The chill continued to seep into her body, forcing her to open her eyes and look at the still towering tree, her brows furrowed.
Could she have really been blown into time by that explosion?
No way! Although she lives in the apocalypse, she comes from a good family; her father and older brother are both incredibly powerful superhumans. Besides, she's beautiful, has a gentle personality, and has countless suitors, all of whom are top-tier base leaders.
She didn't need to leave the base to kill those terrifying zombies at all; she could simply stay in the base and someone would naturally deliver what she wanted to her.
She definitely doesn't want to time travel!
Somewhat on the verge of tears, he gripped the branches beside him tightly, slowly stood up, and stretched his stiff hands and feet.
It's too cold here; she needs to find a way down. Standing on a branch of the giant tree, her gaze fixed on the thick trunk, a decision formed in her mind.
She moved cautiously toward the tree trunk, each step taken with utmost care. She gripped the protrusions on the trunk tightly with both hands to prevent herself from slipping; her skirt billowed, making her climb a little more difficult.
Her body pressed against the tree trunk, trying to use its rough surface to increase friction. Her feet searched for branches or twigs to step on, her movements slow, her arms trembling slightly from the effort.
Just as she was trying to find a more stable foothold, a piece of bark suddenly slipped off, and she lost her footing, instinctively trying to grab something to steady herself.
"Ah!" she cried out, losing her balance and beginning to fall uncontrollably. Her heart was in her throat, and her mind went blank.
Just as she was about to make contact with the ground, her brain went on strike, but her body seemed to suddenly become out of control, quickly adjusting its posture to prepare for the impending impact.
His arms suddenly stretched out, trying to find a foothold to slow his descent. His legs bent, preparing to absorb the impact upon landing. His body spun in the air, attempting to minimize injury.
With a dull thud, her feet hit the ground first. Her knees bent slightly, distributing the impact throughout her body, and she rolled forward a few times, completely dissipating the force.
Falling from a great height, Chu Xinyao's heart pounded like a drum, and her breathing became rapid, but she stood on the ground unharmed.
What just happened? She was a little dazed. Had she awakened some incredible superpower again?
But just then, a languid female voice suddenly broke the silence of the forest. "You're dreaming." The voice carried a hint of mockery.
Who, who's talking?
Chu Xinyao moved quickly and hid behind a tree, trying to use the trees as cover. "Who? Who's there? Come out, I've seen you." she said bluffingly.
Even though she didn't see anyone, she still had to make a show of it.
However, apart from her own breathing and the occasional birdsong, there was no other sound around her. Chu Xinyao held her breath, listening quietly to the sounds around her, trying to find the person.
Is this person a friend or an enemy?
"You're really weak. I only received a short training session from the God of War, and you almost crippled yourself." The female voice didn't hesitate to criticize her.
The Supreme Deity? Training?
There are gods in this world? Who are you kidding!
"Stop playing tricks here and come out." The voice sounded familiar, especially like a big shot she knew, but then she thought it was unlikely.
"Alright, let me introduce myself! Hello, host, I am the system you are bound to. You can call me Tingting. This system is the... um? Childbirth system in the Great Thousand Worlds?" The lazy female voice carried a hint of uncertainty.
Chu Xinyao clearly heard the sound of turning pages in her mind, followed by a very familiar curse.
"What the hell is this? How come it's a childbirth system? This..." A string of profanities, accompanied by a censored "beep" sound, echoed in Chu Xinyao's mind.
It really is Boss Long! Hearing the familiar voice, Chu Xinyao finally confirmed it.
