Chapter 175 Perfect Ending
Chapter 175 Perfect Ending
Harry appeared with two hostages, and there was a loud cheer.
"Gabrielle! My sister! Is she hurt?" Fleur shouted excitedly towards the water.
It was the first time that everyone saw her lose her composure like this. She used to be so confident and arrogant. She wanted to go into the water and bring her sister to the shore regardless of her injuries. It was Ms. Maxime who held her back.
Gloria and Draco's hair was dry, and Krum and Hermione were still hugging their blankets to keep warm.
Several referees left their seats and came here. Draco raised his head to see clearly how Harry doggy-paddled to the viewing platform.
As soon as Harry approached, Sirius couldn't wait to grab his arms and pull him up, "Well done Harry, you saved two people."
Even though the time limit had expired, he still felt that his godson had done an excellent job, well... only slightly worse than Leah.
It took Harry more than an hour to swim underwater and bring the person to the surface. He really didn't have much energy left and could only force out a tired smile.
"Sirius, he's very tired, let Madam Pomfrey take a look." Gloria said beside him.
Madam Pomfrey pushed Sirius aside again and said, "That's right. Come, drink this." She put the mouth of the medicine bottle directly into Harry's mouth and asked him to tilt his head back and drink it.
Harry's hands were shaking, and he couldn't hold the blanket tightly.
"My sister." Fleur hugged the girl tightly and cried uncontrollably, "Grindelwald attacked me, and I thought... I thought it was my sister..."
It was evident that the experience had frightened her.
"Harry! Well done, you succeeded!" Hermione hugged Harry and kissed the top of his head. Krum's face became even gloomier beside him.
"You'll never imagine what Leah has become. I was shocked when I saw her in the water." Harry, wrapped tightly in a blanket, spoke with chattering teeth.
Compared with the miserable appearance of these warriors and hostages, Gloria and Draco seemed to have never touched the water of the Black Lake.
Everyone looked at them. Gloria was no longer covered with the blanket. "I turned into a fish too, but a mermaid."
Ron looked her up and down. "You turned yourself into... one of those mermen in the lake?"
He couldn't imagine the beautiful Gloria turning into the Black Lake Mermaid. Those creatures looked so scary, surrounding them as if they would raise their spears and poke them at any second.
Draco was also curious, "Mermaid?"
He remained asleep in the water and didn't even know what Gloria looked like to save him.
"The ocean mermaids are much prettier than the freshwater mermaids." Gloria asked, "What happened before you fell asleep at the bottom of the lake?"
Ron was about to open his mouth when Draco interrupted him. "Professor Snape came to me and told me something, so I followed him. Then in Professor McGonagall's office, Headmaster Dumbledore said that we were all the warriors' treasures. He would cast a spell on us and place us at the bottom of the Black Lake to be guarded by mermaids. All the warriors had to do was find us and bring us back to the surface within a specified time. We also guaranteed that our lives would not be in danger. If the warriors could not rescue us, the mermaids would bring us up."
Hermione nodded quickly, "Yes, I fell asleep after the headmaster cast the spell, and when I woke up I was on the water."
Ron rolled his eyes at Draco and came to the surface of the water. He seemed to recall the damp and cold he had just woken up, so he hugged the blanket tighter and shivered.
"Ladies and gentlemen, we have made a decision!" Bagman's loud voice suddenly rang out, startling many people.
They gave each warrior a score based on what the mermaid leader told them happened underwater.
"Fleur Delacour made excellent use of the Bubblehead Charm, but unfortunately she failed to cross the Grindelwald area to rescue the hostages. We give her 25 points!"
The audience gave warm applause.
"Gloria Slytherin used a sophisticated Transfiguration spell. According to the mermaid leader's feedback, they almost thought that the sea mermaids had come to the Black Lake. It can be seen that she used it skillfully and perfectly. She was the first to return with the hostages, and she did so within the stipulated hour."
The Slytherin students cheered wildly and waved their arms excitedly to express their high emotions.
"So we decided to give her 50 points! She performed flawlessly in everything and deserves this score."
Draco hugged Gloria happily and kissed her cheek, "You deserve it Lori, you deserve it!"
Sirius felt mixed emotions when he saw this intimate scene.
"Viktor Krum also used Transfiguration. Although it's not perfect, it's still very effective. He was the second one to bring back the hostage, about five minutes beyond the stipulated time. We give him 40 points!"
Karkaroff, who was not far away, clapped happily.
"Harry Potter took Gillsweed, which was a good idea. He was the last one to return, far exceeding the stipulated time. However, the mermaid leader told us that he was the second one to find the hostages, but wanted to ensure the safety of all the hostages, so he did not return to the surface in time and even brought back two hostages!"
Gloria looked at Harry, who looked anxious, as if he was the last one. Ron and Hermione looked angry and sympathetic.
"Most of the judges..." Bagman glanced at Karkaroff, "felt that this was a very noble act, even worthy of full marks."
Draco glared at Bagman in dissatisfaction, but Bagman was completely unaware and continued, "However...Mr. Potter will receive forty-five points!"
Harry's ugly expression improved instantly, and the people around him were also surprised.
"That's great, Harry!" Ron exclaimed excitedly, "So you're not being stupid, you're being moral!"
When he just came out of the water and regained consciousness, he was still very dissatisfied with Harry for bringing the girl up. The hostage would not be in any danger in the water.
This time, Fleur, who always had a bad face towards Harry, smiled and clapped loudly. The little silver-haired girl beside her followed suit. Krum wanted to talk to Hermione, but she was completely immersed in the joy of her good friend getting a high score.
"Finally, the third event will take place on the evening of June 24th," Bagman said. "The warriors will be informed of the details of the event one month in advance so that they can be fully prepared."
The second project ended perfectly and many students returned to the shore by boat.
Sirius rubbed Gloria and Harry's heads, "I have to go now. When you return, write to me and tell me everything that happened in the lake."
Gloria nodded. "I will tell you everything."
"Yes." Harry is in much better condition now. "I also have to thank Dobby for giving me the Cheekbone. Otherwise, if I had relied on the Bubblehead Curse, I might have delayed even more time."
"How does he know about Gillweed?" Gloria was curious about this. House-elves usually don't know about various magical knowledge, and their minds are only on how to serve wizards.
Sirius was equally curious, "Did someone tell him?" He was much more alert about this.
"No—" Harry shook his head hurriedly. "He was cleaning all over the castle and could hear all kinds of conversations, so he heard Professor McGonagall and Professor Moody talking about the project. The professors must have mentioned Gillweed, and Dobby took the time to find it and gave it to me immediately."
Sirius knew this Dobby, a house-elf who took good care of Harry. "We should really thank him for this. Go back to the castle and change your clothes. Don't get sick."
