Self-awareness, of course, means self-awakening, which refers to realizing the nature and appearance of all dharmas without any increase or decrease, as it really is, without afflictions.

The most familiar one is of course the Eighteen Arhats. This title comes from the temple. In addition to the Eighteen Arhats, there are also Sixteen Arhats and Five Hundred Arhats.

Another famous arhat is Jigong.

So the appearance of Luohan is not necessarily the same as what we see, he often stands there in a strange posture.

This arhat, if you continue to attend classes, you will become a Pusa if you take the postgraduate exams in the future.

The next realm of Arhats is Bodhisattva, who is self-conscious and aware of others.

You can tell from the name that it is not only self-aware, but also equally and universally aware, that is, not only I understand it, but I want you to understand it too.

The Bodhisattva we are familiar with is Guanyin Bodhisattva. Because of avoiding Li Shimin's taboo, it is usually called Guanyin Bodhisattva in the future.

This is a bit embarrassing, the majestic Avalokitesvara actually changed the name of a mortal emperor who has lived for only a few decades. This is what is often said not to be afraid of officials, but to be afraid of management.

Or it means that Guanyin Bodhisattva's manifestations are less.

In addition, Manjusri Bodhisattva, Samantabhadra Bodhisattva and Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva have been heard more.

After being a Bodhisattva, you can apply for the exam if you know a good doctoral supervisor, and then the next level is Buddha.

The highest realm of Arhats and Bodhisattvas is the Buddha, that is, one who is self-aware, aware of others, and fully aware of his actions.

Sakyamuni Buddha, Maitreya Buddha and Diode Buddha are collectively referred to as the three-time Buddha. Maitreya Buddha represents the future life, Sakyamuni Buddha represents the present life, and Dipan Buddha represents the past life.

If you want to describe this arhat, you can only see the difference between a Bodhisattva and a Buddha.

In the Buddhist scriptures, it tells the world that the world we live in is called the sea of ​​suffering. Why is it called the sea of ​​suffering?

Because there are all kinds of troubles and attachments.

Therefore, Buddhism tells us to cleanse our six sense organs and become a monk.

Then you have to give up everything in the world, and go to the shore of the sea of ​​suffering.

The purpose of cultivating and understanding Buddhism is to get rid of the sea of ​​suffering and reach the other shore. Simply speaking, the other shore can be regarded as a world without worries and attachments.

To put it bluntly, you committed sins in your previous life, which is why you are so tired in this life. Come to the Buddha quickly, repent, and then you can be relieved of guilt.

You see, we are all on this side of the sea of ​​suffering, we must find a way to get to the other side of the sea of ​​suffering.

How to get there?

Of course you can't swim there, you have to take a boat.

Everyone is a gentleman, you swam by yourself without slipping, and your clothes are still wet, how is it decent?

Here comes the metaphor of several people.

Either you become an arhat. The boat of an arhat is very small and can only accommodate himself, that is, a cultivator who can only reach the other shore by himself, so an arhat is also called a "conscious person".

In other words, if you want to go by yourself, then cultivate into an Arhat.

There are still many ways to do this. For example, the king of the black-bone chicken country where Tang Sanzang and the others are now, donated a lot of money because of donations, so he will become an arhat.

It's just that there was a small change in the middle, and it was gone.

Either you have an epiphany and become a Bodhisattva, just like this Guanyin master.

Legend has it that this Guanyin master is very enlightened, and he can become a Buddha, but at that time he had to prepare for the meeting of conferring Buddhahood.

Avalokitesvara is about to go all the way.

As a result, on the road, I saw a tiger on the mountain about to eat a woman.

On the one hand, he was not allowed to enter the examination room if he was late, and on the other hand, he was saving a woman.

So Tang Sanzang's dear sister Avalokitesvara chose to rescue this woman, and lost the chance to become a Buddha.

Since then, he has been living as a Bodhisattva.

Most importantly, age is enough, and more importantly, gender is stuck there.

The origin of Guanyin is more complicated.

She is one of the four great Bodhisattvas of Lingshan. She looks like a subordinate of Tathagata, but she is not. The relationship between Tathagata and Guanyin is more like a cooperative relationship.

So in fact, Guanyin also has its own company, but it has some business affiliations with Xitian Group.

For example, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva's vow is "the hell will not be empty, and he will not become a Buddha", while Avalokiteshvara's wish is "to save all living beings".

And this is her only vow, and people in the world always have all kinds of troubles, so Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva and Avalokitesvara used to be a male disciple before entering Buddhism. It is about some things in Buddhism that the Tathagata is in power.

Although Guanyin is just a Bodhisattva, she also has the status of being the teacher of the Seven Buddhas. Although the status of Bodhisattvas is lower than that of Buddhas, their achievements are no less than Buddhas.

Just like Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, who vowed not to become a Buddha if the hell is not empty, Guanyin takes the mission of saving all living beings.

In addition, there is also a popular saying in the world, that is, praying to Bodhisattvas is better than praying to Buddhas.

Because there are many incarnations of Bodhisattvas, no matter what you have, you can find the corresponding incarnations of Bodhisattvas.

So if they don't become Buddhas, they can do what they want better.

Moreover, Bodhisattva and Buddha are just false names to them. Even if Avalokitesvara does not become a Buddha, his status cannot be offended by the Tathagata, or there is nothing he can do about it.

On a bigger scale, he is one of the five elders of the Heavenly Court, second only to the Jade Emperor.

Before Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva had no Buddhists, she was Cihang Daoist, one of the twelve golden immortals in Taoism, and his master was Yuanshi Tianzun, one of the Sanqing, and many people thought it was Avalokitesvara, Puxian, Manjusri, Three Taoists threw themselves into Buddhism.

This question is actually hard to say, after all, there are two parts involved in this, just like the blank 200-year history in One Piece, a lot of changes have taken place.

You can no longer use your previous understanding to look at the current people.

Speaking of this Bodhisattva.

The bodhisattva's boat is relatively large, not only can accommodate himself, but also accommodate some people. To put it mildly, even if he himself goes to heaven, he can also use a fishhook to lift a small number of people to heaven to enjoy blessings; so The Bodhisattva is called "feeling sentient beings", and sentient beings are the meaning of sentient beings.

The mounts of various Bodhisattvas and Arhats came down the mountain one after another, and for a while, the whole world thought that the demons were about to descend to the mortal world again.

But the worst are the land and mountain gods.

They have been tossed back and forth countless times by heaven, Buddhism, Taoism, Sanxian, Sanyao and other forces in turn.

Even some unreasonable ones have been severely punished.

But no matter how hard you torture him, you won’t be able to move.

The apprentice and the mountain god don't know anything.

It just brought all the gods to the place where Tang Sanzang and the others disappeared.

At this time, the world Tang Sanzang and the others lived in has been closed.

There is nothing left.
