Chapter 220 Zhao 4's Dog Meat Restaurant
Chapter 220 Zhao 4's Dog Meat Restaurant
"You can't escape!" the man in black shouted from behind, but it was too late.
Zhang Wanqing and Fu Siyuan rushed out of the factory with the dog and ran towards the woods in the distance. They knew that the most important thing now was to put the dog in a safe place before thinking of a way to deal with Wu Tian.
"We have to get the dog to a safe place quickly," said Zhang Wanqing.
"Well, I know a place." Fu Siyuan said, "Let's go there."
The two of them, along with the dog, traveled all the way until they finally reached a remote forest. They found a secluded spot and placed the dog there.
"You stay here first, we will come back to rescue you." Zhang Wanqing said to the dogs.
"We have to go back quickly and see how Li Wei is doing." Fu Siyuan said.
"Yeah, I'm worried about him too." Zhang Wanqing nodded.
The two of them rushed towards the factory with worried feelings.
An eerie silence permeated the abandoned factory. Zhang Wanqing and Fu Siyuan returned to the factory filled with worry and anger, with only one thought in mind: find Li Wei and arrest Wu Tian.
The factory's back door had been damaged, clearly a sign of their escape. The two men walked in cautiously, their flashlight beams tracing arcs through the darkness. Despite his leg injury, Fu Siyuan persisted, his eyes revealing a resolute determination.
"Where is Li Wei?" Zhang Wanqing asked in a low voice, with a hint of trembling in her voice.
"I don't know, I hope he's okay." Fu Siyuan frowned and continued walking forward.
They searched the factory's inner corridors, taking every step carefully. Suddenly, Zhang Wanqing stopped and heard a faint groan.
"Someone!" she whispered, walking towards the sound.
Fu Siyuan followed closely behind, and the two soon came to a secluded corner. With the help of the flashlight, they saw Li Wei curled up on the ground, his body covered in blood, but still breathing weakly.
"Li Wei!" Zhang Wanqing squatted down and gently patted his cheek. "Are you okay?"
Li Wei slowly opened his eyes and saw Zhang Wanqing and Fu Siyuan. He forced a smile and said, "I'm fine...you guys should leave quickly. Wu Tian's people must still be nearby."
"Stop talking, we'll take you out." Fu Siyuan said, carefully carrying Li Wei on his back.
The three of them struggled out of the factory. Li Wei was seriously injured, but fortunately they found an abandoned van. Fu Siyuan started the car and drove Li Wei and Zhang Wanqing to the nearest hospital.
"You must catch Wu Tian." Li Wei said weakly in the car, "He is more dangerous than I thought."
"Don't worry, we won't let him go." Zhang Wanqing held Li Wei's hand tightly, her eyes full of determination.
Li Wei was rushed into the hospital's emergency room. Zhang Wanqing and Fu Siyuan sat on a bench outside, their hearts filled with anxiety. Fu Siyuan's leg injury had been treated simply, but the pain was still unbearable.
"Wanqing, how do you think Wu Tian will deal with us?" Fu Siyuan asked in a low voice.
"He's definitely not going to give up, but we can't just sit there and wait for death." Zhang Wanqing raised her head, a glint in her eyes. "We need to find his weakness and completely destroy this criminal network."
"You're right." Fu Siyuan nodded. "We need to get more clues from Wang Dashan."
"But Wang Dashan has already been interrogated by us. What else can he provide?" Zhang Wanqing frowned.
"Maybe we can find some clues from his words." Fu Siyuan stood up, picked up his phone and dialed a number. "Hello, it's me, Fu Siyuan. Could you please check Wang Dashan's background and see if he mentioned any other information about Wu Tian?"
"Okay, I'll check it out right away." A colleague's voice came from the other end of the phone.
After hanging up the phone, Fu Siyuan sat back in his chair, closed his eyes, and kept replaying Wang Dashan's confession in his mind. Suddenly, his eyes opened sharply, as if he had thought of something.
"Wanqing, I figured it out." Fu Siyuan said excitedly, "Wang Dashan mentioned that Wu Tian had a channel to sell stolen goods, but he didn't specify what it was."
"You mean, Wu Tian might have other accomplices?" Zhang Wanqing's eyes lit up.
"Yes, and this accomplice may be right next to us." Fu Siyuan stood up, "We must hurry back and find out the channel for selling the stolen goods."
The two hurriedly left the hospital and returned to the police station. By then, it was completely dark, and the station was completely silent. Fu Siyuan and Zhang Wanqing walked into the office and began to look through Wang Dashan's interrogation records.
"Here!" Zhang Wanqing suddenly pointed to a line of words in the record and said, "Wang Dashan mentioned a name - Zhao Si."
"Zhao Si? Who is he?" Fu Siyuan frowned.
"I found out!" Fu Siyuan's colleague pushed open the door and walked in, holding a document in his hand. "Zhao Si is the owner of a dog meat restaurant in the south of the city. He has close ties with Wu Tian."
"A dog meat restaurant?" Zhang Wanqing's face darkened. "Could that be where Wu Tian sells his stolen goods?"
"It's very likely." Fu Siyuan nodded, "We have to check it out."
The two quickly packed their gear and drove south to the city. In the night, the dog meat restaurant's sign was particularly glaring under the dim light. Fu Siyuan and Zhang Wanqing quietly approached and peered through the window.
"There are quite a few people inside." Zhang Wanqing whispered, "We have to be careful."
"Well, let's observe first." Fu Siyuan nodded.
The two of them wandered outside the dog meat restaurant for a while, and suddenly saw a familiar figure walking out from inside. Zhang Wanqing and Fu Siyuan looked at each other and were startled: Isn't that Wu Tian?
"He's here!" Zhang Wanqing whispered, "We have to catch him."
"Don't be impatient, let's see what he does first." Fu Siyuan said.
Wu Tian walked to a black car, opened the door and got in. Fu Siyuan and Zhang Wanqing quickly followed, knowing that this was a great opportunity.
The black car sped through the night, with Fu Siyuan following closely behind. Zhang Wanqing sat in the passenger seat, gripping the pistol tightly, her heart filled with anxiety.
"Where is he going?" Zhang Wanqing asked in a low voice.
"I don't know, but we have to be careful." Fu Siyuan said.
The black car finally stopped in front of a remote warehouse. Wu Tian got out, opened the warehouse door, and walked in. Fu Siyuan and Zhang Wanqing parked their car not far away and quietly followed.
"Where is this place?" Zhang Wanqing asked in a low voice.
"I don't know, but it's definitely related to crime," said Fu Siyuan.
The two men walked carefully into the warehouse, which was filled with various goods, but what shocked them most was that there were several dogs locked in the corner.
"This is also their hideout!" Zhang Wanqing whispered.
"It seems that Wu Tian's criminal network is even larger than we imagined." Fu Siyuan frowned, "We need to call for support quickly."
"Wait, look over there." Zhang Wanqing said, pointing to the other side of the warehouse.
There were some documents and account books there, and Zhang Wanqing and Fu Siyuan quickly went over to check them out. The documents recorded Wu Tian's transaction records and his collusion with Zhao Si.
"This evidence is enough to bring them to justice," said Fu Siyuan.
"But we have to catch Wu Tian first." Zhang Wanqing said.
At this moment, the door of the warehouse was suddenly opened and Wu Tian walked in.
