I'm a princess, so what if I have three husbands?

Chapter 177 No matter what happens, I will protect her.

Chapter 177 No matter what happens, I will protect her.

Although he always seemed to be at odds with her verbally, he actually meant her no harm.

Just as Liu Huzi was about to drive the car, Zhongli Yueluo jumped down from the car again.

"Brother Liu, Ruoyu, Fengjun, you go first, we'll catch up with you later."

Liu Hu Zi's expression froze for a moment, a hint of ferocity flashing in his eyes, before he regained his composure: "Okay."

Yan Ruoyu and Su Fengjun nodded in agreement. It was good that they left first; they couldn't put all their eggs in one basket.

The two stood at the entrance of the inn. As Su Fengling watched them walk away, he stepped forward and put his arm around Zhongli Yueluo's waist.

She gently rested her head on her shoulder: "Sister, why don't we go back to our room and wait?"

"Why don't we take a walk together on the street and see if we can find any clues?"

Zhongli Yueluo reached out and touched his chin, her eyes concealing other emotions.

Su Fengling grabbed her hand: "Sister, let me touch it again."

Zhongli Yueluo pulled her hand away from his: "Stop fooling around."

Su Fengling stared at Zhong Liyueluo's serious face, paused for a moment, then let go, took her hand, and walked forward.

Zhongli Yueluo felt that Liu Huzi was acting strangely back then, and she believed that the others could also sense it.

"Little brother, how about we go check out the beast-drawn carriage shop?" she asked, turning her head as if to inquire.

Su Fengling nodded. Anyway, He Yuhuan would follow their scent to find them, so there was no need to worry about them getting lost.

"Okay." He took her hand.

The quiet street was empty except for the two of them, and the red lanterns around them swayed in the wind.

"Could this already be a dream?" she asked.

"If this were a dream, would I be free to treat my sister however I want?"

His eyes were downcast, but every word he spoke was sincere.

"So what do you want to do?" She smiled slightly, revealing a dimple, as the wind blew her hair.

Su Fengling raised his hand and tucked her wind-blown hair behind her ear, his fingertips inadvertently brushing against her cheek.

"I don't want to do anything right now, sister, let's go."

He reluctantly pulled his fingers away from her face and led her towards the animal carriage shop.

The road hadn't been used for a day, yet it was already covered with many withered leaves, making it look exceptionally desolate.

"Is there really a beast-drawn carriage shop here?" Both of them began to have doubts.

Walking through that familiar street, I glanced once more at the place where Hong San Niang lived; the door was already dilapidated.

Where were the animal carriages in the neighboring animal carriage shop?

It was in a state of disrepair, and even the shed that had been erected had collapsed in half.

Their gazes both fell on the doorway, where a woman was reclining. Who else could it be but Hong San Niang?

Liu Huzi seemed to love Hong Sanniang very much, so why was her body lying like this in the "wilderness"?

She and Su Fengling exchanged a glance. Something was wrong; something was definitely not right!

Su Fengling grasped Zhongli Yueluo's hand, his gaze serious; it was indeed too strange.

After leaving the house, He Yuhuan went back to the underground city and opened more than a dozen ladles in a row.

Everything she saw was still real.

After eating my fill, I patted my round belly and let out a satisfied burp.

Then they went to find Zhongli Yueluo.

The two of them stood at the entrance of the animal carriage shop for a long time, as the sun gradually rose and its rays fell on their faces.

Su Fengling turned his head and saw the sunlight shining into Zhongli Yueluo's eyes, making them sparkle.

Her face was filled with determination and worry, and he raised his hand to shield his eyes from the sunlight.

"Sister, the sunlight is too bright."

In the sunlight, his hair was gleaming. She touched the tip of his nose with her hand, then slowly slid it down to his lips.

You look really good, I like you a lot.

If time could stand still at this moment, then beauty would also remain at this moment.

But He Yuhuan would suddenly appear at an inopportune moment, standing in the distance and waving at them.

"Master, what are you two doing here? Yin Yi and the others have all left."

"He Yuhuan!" Su Fengling squeezed out these words through gritted teeth.

"White hair?" She tilted her head and licked her lips in response.

He shook his head, knowing full well that arguing with her was like punching cotton, but he still couldn't help getting angry.

"Yu Huan, you're back! How did you go?" Zhongli Yueluo smiled and walked towards her.

He Yuhuan nodded: "I'm full!" Then she patted her belly.

Once they reach her, the three of them should set off to catch up with the others.

Without lingering, they transformed into three streaks of light and arrived at the inn's entrance with a light touch of their toes.

After getting into the beast-drawn carriage, He Yuhuan glanced at Su Fengling and, surprisingly, wisely refrained from getting inside.

Instead, he sat on the outside of the car frame.

Su Fengling found it strange, then she heard her eating, making gurgling sounds.

It turns out she was afraid Zhongli Yueluo would dislike her, so she hid outside and didn't go in.

That's good, it saves him from having to do those little things while she's inside.

The carriage curtain was lowered, and a light snap of the fingers was made.

A soundproof barrier was set up, and Zhongli Yueluo looked out from the car window.

"Sister, now that it's just the two of us, what's there to see outside? Why don't you look at me instead?"

He smiled sweetly, seemingly without any ulterior motives, and his hands were already on either side of her waist.

"Feng Ling, stop! Yu Huan is still outside."

"Don't worry, she can't hear anything." He moved his head closer to her face; he just wanted to be closer to her.

But she would push him away from time to time, and he couldn't figure out what she was thinking.

One hand grasped hers: "Sister, the road ahead is fraught with danger. This is a rare moment of peace and quiet for us to spend together."

Zhongli Yueluo's nose touched his nose: "That's right, so now is not the time to talk about these things."

"Then give me a kiss, and I'll behave and stop making a fuss." He wanted what he wanted.

She was startled, her breathing became more labored, and his gaze towards her grew even more intense.

Seeing her stunned, he lowered his voice and whispered in her ear, "I really want to stay with my sister like this forever."

"Then let's kiss." She blinked her big eyes and lightly touched the corner of his lips.

The cool sensation was fleeting, but he felt a warmth in his heart. Although he felt it wasn't enough, he didn't press his advantage.

He simply touched her face; she liked him, and he could feel it from her kisses.

"Sister, hold on tight, I'm going out to tame the beasts. If we don't hurry, we won't be able to catch up with them." He stood up, turned around, and smiled.

Her heart skipped a beat, and the sunlight shone through the car window onto half of his face—it was absolutely beautiful.

Once the barrier was removed, he went outside and immediately put on that impatient look he had towards He Yuhuan: "Go in now."

"What's wrong? Don't you like being with your master?" He Yuhuan was the most perceptive of human emotions.

"I do like it, but I also know that there are more important things to do right now."

Sometimes Su Fengling felt that He Yuhuan wasn't truly ignorant; in fact, she knew everything.

"He Yuhuan, no matter what happens, you will protect your sister, right?" He turned around and asked sincerely.

He Yuhuan nodded very seriously and replied, "Yes!"
