Chapter 266 - 265: Time to Make My Presence Felt
After giving his instructions, Nathan Foster sat in the car and then had the driver start driving.
Gazing at the road ahead, Nathan Foster thought about the three-day military exercise.
He would be isolated from the outside world, unable to receive any news or send any messages.
The reason for his final words to Ivan Keller was because Nathan Foster thought of a sales strategy.
In the business world, it’s called hunger marketing, which not only raises the price of his products but also gives consumers a great sense of achievement when they finally get it.
Nathan Foster could see that South Grant’s attitude towards him was purely perfunctory.
Even when he was being coaxed, the words were just pleasant-sounding but insincere.
It’s time to assert some presence in front of her.
(Comment: Uncle, you are so cunning!)
At this moment, South Grant didn’t have time to think about Nathan Foster. Upon arriving at school, she happened to meet Teacher Ford, who was looking anxious. When he saw South Grant, he greeted her proactively.
"Good morning, South."
"Good morning, Teacher Ford!" South Grant greeted the teacher politely.
Teacher Ford nervously asked South Grant in a low voice: "What happened with yesterday’s incident?"
Teacher Ford actually wanted to ask whether South Grant would bear legal responsibility for what happened to Marcus Shaw.
Since South had made the mistake while saving him, Teacher Ford felt very guilty.
"Teacher, just wait and see today. You know nothing about yesterday’s incident!"
The confidence on South Grant’s face, the calmness in her eyes, gradually put Teacher Ford’s uneasy heart at ease.
"Alright, as long as you’re okay."
"Then I’ll go back to class." South Grant then returned to her class. Teacher Ford returned to the classroom and found that Felicity Grant was not there today, nor had she taken leave.
However, Teacher Ford didn’t focus on her anymore. Originally, she only wanted to kindly supervise students to be positive, but she nearly got into trouble because of them both.
After class, Teacher Ford went back to the office and overheard her colleagues discussing.
"I heard from a friend in the education bureau that Director Shaw seems to have run into some trouble, said someone reported him, and now there’s an investigation from above."
"This is no big deal; Director Shaw has a strong background. There are so many complaint letters every year, and nothing ever happens to him. Rest assured, it’s usually much ado about nothing, and everything ends up calm in the end."
"Apparently, it still involves his grandson this time. I’m not sure what exactly happened, but it seems his grandson is still in the hospital and it’s something to do with a female student from our school."
"Who could it be from our school? Surely these kids wouldn’t do something that ends in death, right? If that’s true, it’s just the student’s personal behavior, what’s it got to do with Director Shaw?"
"We don’t know anything yet, let’s wait for the outcome. Whatever it is, news will leak out eventually."
Upon hearing her colleagues’ conversation, Teacher Ford began to worry. As they said, Director Shaw gets complaints every year, but it’s always brushed aside.
All those complaint letters are suppressed, which shows how deep his background is.
South Grant said that she submitted a report, but Teacher Ford felt it would be like a stone sinking into the sea.
She couldn’t help but feel worried for South Grant. Teacher Ford had already decided that if Marcus Shaw’s incident had to be pursued, she would risk her reputation and stand up for South Grant.
