Chapter 145 Dark Horse
Chapter 145 Dark Horse
Lin Jingzhe walked to an open area and called his father. "How was your day?"
"Everything is calm, I'm following closely." Father Lin smiled and said, "The reporters' attention is all on you. The interviews are centered around the sports school and the provincial team, and they're all praising you!"
"I didn't ask about my family background." Lin Jingzhe said with his eyes slightly narrowed.
"From a wealthy family." Father Lin's eyes flickered as he continued, "It's still a long way from being a very wealthy family."
"Hehe..." Lin Jingzhe lowered his head and laughed when he heard that.
"What are you laughing at?" Lin's mother asked curiously.
We are still in the stage of wealth accumulation and have not yet seen explosive growth.
"Why doesn't Nannan want others to know about your family background?" Father Lin said with a smile, his deep eyes. "Your achievements today have nothing to do with your family. You rely on yourself. This is something that even money can't build."
"I know, I don't want to lose my friends." Lin Jingzhe said with his innocent eyes shaking.
"Haha..." Father Lin laughed heartily, "Our daughter doesn't need a father or a mother, she can live a rich life on her own."
"Yes!" Lin Jingzhe said with his bright peach blossom eyes twinkling, "I think people should get along more purely with each other."
"Don't worry! I've already told you that we won't be making any special reports about our family. The main thing is that you train hard." Father Lin said distressedly, "You haven't been home for three years."
"When Dayu controlled the flood, he didn't even leave his home for three years." Lin's mother sighed.
"Mom, we can't compare ourselves to our ancestor Dayu! He worked for the country and the people. For me, this is a personal honor, a combination of fame and fortune," Lin Jingzhe said hurriedly, his eyes piercing as he added, "It's not just me who's working hard; all the Olympic athletes are working hard. It's not easy for anyone in every walk of life."
"Haha..." Father Lin smiled with satisfaction after hearing this and looked at his wife, saying, "My daughter is right." He added silently, "She has grown up."
"There's a game tomorrow, right?" Lin's mother asked with concern.
"Yes!" Lin Jingzhe said with a smile.
"Then go to bed early and play well." Father Lin instructed with a gentle look, "Hang up."
"Bye." Lin Jingzhe listened to the beeping sound from the phone, hung up the call, turned around and went back to the room to take a shower and go to bed.
&*&
The first time was just a coincidence and luck, but the second time attracted the attention of opponents from all over the world. Where did this come from? With such good results, how come he was unknown before!
Lin Jingzhe's resume appeared in the notebooks of European and American head coaches.
"Smith, come and take a look. This is Lin Jingzhe's resume."
Smith, with brown hair and gray eyes, adjusted his gold-rimmed glasses and quickly scanned her resume in his notebook. "She hasn't participated in any overseas training, so no wonder you don't know her."
"Smith, you saw the silver medal in the World Championships, but we overlooked it." The blonde beauty Annie pointed at the laptop and said apologetically, "It's our fault that we missed such a capable person."
"It's not your fault," Smith said, patting her shoulder. "Dark horse! There are dark horses in every Olympics."
"I didn't expect that," Annie said, her eyes darkening as she stared at her notebook. "She still has four competitions left, and she's in the finals in all of them." She scrolled the mouse to watch the championship replay and said, "She's very capable." She looked up at her and said, "What should we do?" Then she added, "Should we take action?"
"How was her urine test?" Smith said to her with a faint gleam in his gray eyes behind his glasses, then took a small step back and sat on the sofa.
"They all passed!" Anne said, looking at him with deep blue eyes.
"I got here purely through scientific training." Smith said, looking at her with his legs crossed.
"I'm keeping an eye on the testing center! Our people have been tested multiple times, and no illegal drugs are found." Annie pursed her lips and looked at him and said, "Can you tamper with it?"
"Don't move!" Smith clenched his jaw and shook his head slightly. "We're on their territory, there are surveillance cameras everywhere. If we get caught, the shame will be exposed to the whole world. We can't bear this crime. Death awaits us."
"So what should we do? Freestyle is her strong suit, whether it's short distance or middle and long distance," Annie said with a frown. "We're not sure we'll win! That's not the key. The key is that she's only eighteen. Barring any unexpected events, she'll dominate the next two or three events."
How could I not know? Smith stared at his notebook, wanting to glare at the guy to death. "Don't do it! This national team has a strict ban on illegal drugs and has zero tolerance for drugs."
"Isn't it difficult for them to get it?" Anne looked at Smith with disbelief.
"It's not easy. The kids here don't even know what drugs look like. They've never seen the real thing, only on TV." Smith said with a wry smile, "Only professionals can identify contraband. If you give it to an ordinary person, they won't know what it is."
"What?" Annie's blue eyes almost popped out of their sockets.
"Don't disbelieve it, it's true." Smith leaned back on the sofa and said.
"That's it," Annie said unwillingly. "The gold medal is gone."
"What else?" Smith took off his glasses and pinched his brow. "The time is too short. It's hard to collect information!"
"Didn't she compete in the World Championships?" Annie's eyes lit up when she heard that. "It's easy in Australia."
"During the game, there were cameras everywhere. By the time we were ready, the game was over," Smith said, putting his glasses back on. "As they say: the daylily is cold."
"What should we do then?" Annie asked him anxiously.
"In this country, we'd better be honest." Smith pounded the armrest of the sofa and said unwillingly, and then said hopefully, "We may not lose."
"Um..." Anne said hesitantly as she looked at Smith with her blue eyes wandering.
"What do you want to say? Just say it, don't be so hesitant." Smith said impatiently.
"We have developed the latest model." Annie said, looking at him crazily with red eyes.
"No, no, this is still in the development stage and has only been tested on monkeys, but it can improve people's performance." Smith shook his head and flatly refused. "With so many competitions, there's no way she can beat us."
Anne's red lips moved, and she finally said, "You are right."

"We won, we won again." Father Lin said excitedly while looking at the big screen in disbelief.
"Three, three." Lin Xingzhi said while jumping and skipping.
"It's a miracle!" Shen Ze said to them with blushing cheeks.
