Chapter 297 Routine
Chapter 297 Routine
Sheng Xiling left after discussing the project with Zhan Guiting.
Zhan Guiting returned home with the four children; it was already very late.
"Sixth Uncle, you're back."
Yoyo saw Zhan Xiangyu coming downstairs and ran over quickly, hugging his leg and hanging on him. "Sixth Uncle, why haven't you come back for so long after the New Year? Don't you miss us?"
"Of course I want to, but Uncle Liu is too busy and can't come back often." Zhan Xiangyu lowered his head and rubbed the little guy's head, smiling as he spoke.
"What have you been busy with lately? You're not answering the phone or replying to texts."
Zhan Guiting walked past Zhan Xiangyu, sat down on the sofa, and with an elegant and refined demeanor, poured himself a cup of tea and took a small sip.
Zhan Xiangyu looked at Zhan Guiting for several seconds before smiling and replying, "Big brother, I've been asleep for so many years, and I don't plan to go back to my previous profession. I'm currently developing new businesses."
"What do you need? Do you need help?" Zhan Guiting asked, looking at him.
"Financing is not needed for now."
"Okay, let me know if you need help, and I'll take care of it for you."
"Okay, thank you, brother."
Zhan Guiting stood up, glanced at Zhan Xiangyu with his deep eyes, and then picked up Youyou.
"Then, brother, I'll head out to get busy now."
"Ah."
Zhan Xiang hurriedly turned and left.
He quickly walked into the yard, and only breathed a sigh of relief when he saw that no one was there.
Zhan Guiting's reputation was indeed well-deserved; his aura was so overwhelming that Zhan Guiting could hardly breathe.
"Dad, why do I feel like Uncle Six is acting so strangely?" Zhan Jingyang voiced his inner doubts.
Actually, he had already noticed the problem after his sixth uncle woke up, but he had never said anything about it.
After all, it seems difficult for someone who has been asleep for so many years to remain exactly the same as before.
“I think so too,” Zhan Jingxi raised his hand in agreement.
"Where is Xiangyu? He's already gone out."
Qin Yimo came out of the kitchen, carrying a lunchbox in her hand.
“Sixth Uncle has already left, Grandma,” Yoyo replied.
"This kid, we told him to wait a minute, he agreed so readily, and then he ran off again." Qin Yimo said helplessly.
She finally woke up and wanted to give him some nourishing food, but he just kept running around outside and was hardly ever home after the New Year.
"Little sister, come on, let's go play in the yard." Zhan Jingyang tugged at Youyou's hand.
Zhan Guiting put Yoyo down.
The four little ones ran out hand in hand.
"What's wrong? Is something on your mind?" Qin Yimo asked worriedly when she noticed that Zhan Guiting's expression was off.
"No, Mom, don't worry, I'll go check on her."
As he spoke, the man took long strides and walked towards the outside.
The four little ones are chasing and playing with Sister Xiaohong.
Zhan Guiting took a bottle of his treasured wine from the underground cellar and sat in the pavilion watching them play.
When Yoyo got tired of playing, she ran to Zhan Guiting's side, pounced into his arms, lay on his lap and acted coquettishly, her little body twisting like an eel.
Zhan Guiting looked at the little girl with tenderness in his eyes.
The triplets sat down opposite Zhan Guiting, took out a Go board, and began to play Go.
Playing Go was Zhan Jingyang's forte; neither his older nor younger brothers could beat him.
"Cooking, just practice more."
YoYo was drawn in by Zhan Jingyang's voice and sat up straight on the chair next to Zhan Guiting to see what her brothers were playing.
Seeing Zhan Jingyang's smugness, Zhan Guiting decided to deflate his arrogance.
"Give me a plate."
Zhan Jingyang was confident and also wanted to test whether his chess skills had improved.
He then began playing chess with Zhan Guiting.
Yoyo rested her chin on the marble round table, her big, round eyes following Zhan Guiting and Zhan Jingyang's every move.
I don't understand it, but I enjoy watching it.
Soon, the game ended, and Zhan Jingyang was instantly defeated, his smile gradually freezing.
"This round doesn't count, let's play again," Zhan Jingyang protested.
"No matter how many rounds we play, we'll still lose. Second brother, don't humiliate yourself." Zhan Jingxi said to Zhan Jingyang expressionlessly.
"Shut up, or I won't take you to the convenience store to buy snacks when we go to school tomorrow."
“If he won’t take you, your older brother will,” Zhan Jingwen said.
Zhan Jingxi immediately beamed with joy.
Zhan Jingyang ignored them and said to Zhan Guiting, "Let's play another round."
"Let's have some betting, otherwise it'll get too boring."
"What's the stake?" Zhan Jingyang asked, quite intrigued.
"You three lost this round. Go back to your own rooms and sleep there forever."
"No, no gambling, Second Brother, listen to me, let's not gamble anymore." Zhan Jingxi held onto Zhan Jingyang's hand tightly.
"Zhan Jingyang, think about it carefully. You can afford to lose, but I can't," Zhan Jingwen said frankly.
Going back to my own room to sleep means I can't sleep with my sister anymore.
This is absolutely impossible.
The first thing they see when they open their eyes must be their younger sister.
"I'm not playing anymore, I can't afford to lose." Zhan Jingyang pushed the chessboard aside and leaned back in his chair.
"Are you sure? I can let you have some water," Zhan Guiting said.
I was hoping to take this opportunity to get the triplets to go to their own room to sleep and stop them from fighting with him, but I miscalculated.
"Confirmed." Zhan Jingyang nodded.
“I’m absolutely certain,” Zhan Jingwen said solemnly.
"Absolutely certain." Zhan Jingxi nodded emphatically, his chin accidentally hitting the table because he was so forceful.
