Chapter 306: The Noisy Finale (Part )

Conan gently closed the door and came to the restaurant: "Mr. Amuro, Mr. Akai, do you have any speculation about the murderer who attacked Sister Valletta?"

"Except for the three of us, the other four should all be suspects. They don't have an alibi, and from Muro's description, except for Mike, everyone else has more or less some resentment towards the once bustling circus." Shuichi Akai supported his chin with his hand and thought.

Amuro Toru said: "The saw found in the kitchen had metal fragments on it. I think that should be the murder weapon. The murderer used the saw to cut off Valletta's prosthetic limb."

"But the question is, what was the murderer's motive? If it was the Circus of Hate, why did they choose Violetta, who was almost on the edge of the crowd? And why didn't Violetta resist at all?"

Conan suddenly thought of a possibility: "Mr. Amuro, Mr. Akai, do you remember the secret room we went to that night? Among those drugs, there is one that can cause hallucinations. Perhaps the murderer used that potion to make Sister Valletta lose her ability to resist."

"Then it can be explained why no potion was found in the secret room. But, where would the murderer hide the potion? It is not realistic to search everyone's room. After all, this manor is very large, and the murderer could hide the potion anywhere." Shuichi Akai frowned.

Conan sighed. "We can only take one step at a time now. We must protect Sister Valletta first. We can't let the murderer have a chance to attack her again. We may need to keep an eye on the others as well."

Akai Hide nodded: "You can leave it to us. By the way, you can explore other places tonight."

"In addition, Sister Valletta also mentioned a man in black. I wonder if that guy is imitating the murderer of the Moon River Park massacre." Conan lowered his head and thought.

Amuro Toru was also confused: "So, if the man in black and the murderer from that year are the same person, why did he let go of Miss Margaretha who witnessed the murder scene, but attacked the innocent Miss Violetta?"

"What exactly does the Oritis Organization want to do by gathering such a group of people?"

"Maybe we can talk to a few others."

Dinner time had just ended, and the dancer, acrobat, and crying clown should still be resting in their respective rooms. It was a good opportunity to ask them privately about what had happened in the past.

After Conan told the Savage about this, the Savage also expressed his support: "If we ask them individually, maybe we can get something out of them, especially Natalie. She should know more, but she is just unwilling to tell us."

The three of them first came to the acrobat's room, where the acrobat was sitting at the desk fiddling with some of his explosive bombs.

"Good evening, detectives, what can I do for you?"

Toru Amuro noticed the bombs. He remembered that the previous bombs seemed to be filled with some quartz sand, which should be something used in stage performances.

"Brother Mike, can you tell us about the past of the Noisy Circus?" Conan asked as he walked to the chair.

"The circus was my home, and Captain Bernard was my adopted father. At that time, I was a big star in the circus, and everyone called me 'Smiling Mike'. I had a good relationship with Murro, and in my opinion, Murro was very similar to the Bernard I remembered."

"So, when Muro expressed his desire to leave this noisy land and live in nature, I was willing to help him. I used the chemicals used for stage performances to start a small fire, which gave Muro the opportunity to escape."

"Then, on the night of the Moon River Carnival, I realized I had run out of props for the performance, so I went out to buy some. When I came back, my house was a wreck."

Akai Hide nodded: "So, do you have any guesses about the murderer of that tragedy?"

"I don't know, but I suspect it was Zelle who did it. She had eyewitness testimony and escaped so luckily. Plus, this time, Valletta was attacked, but she was not hurt at all. It's so strange." The acrobat scratched his head and thought.

Conan wrote down the key information in his notebook and nodded: "Brother Mike, we will ask Sister Margaretha and Brother Qiu later."

The three of them then came to the dancer's room, but unexpectedly, the Crying Clown was also there. The Crying Clown seemed very wary of their visit.

"What are you doing here looking for Natalie? She can't be the murderer!" The Crying Clown wanted to close the door again the moment he opened it.

"Wait, Brother Jack, we just want to know what the noisy circus was like in the past." Conan quickly stuck the bolt.

"Let them in, Jack, they're not like that guy Mike." the dancer said in the room.

So the Crying Clown let the three of them in. As soon as they entered the room, Conan saw that the dancer's face didn't look good, she had dark circles under her eyes, and most importantly, there was a smell of trees scorched by the sun in the room.

"Sister Margaretha, why is there such a strange fragrance in your room?"

"Fragrance? This is the smell of those perfumes, right? I prefer this one, it helps me relax." The dancer pointed to the three bottles of perfume on the windowsill.

"Perfume?" Toru Amuro looked at the three bottles of perfume nervously.

Conan leaned forward and asked, "Can I take a look?"

"Yes, but there's a bottle with a strong smell, so be careful not to spray too much."

So Conan began to smell the perfumes one by one: "The soothing scent of lily of the valley, the smell of trees baked by the sun, and the slightly pungent smell of dampness."

"Cough cough cough, the last one smells so pungent!" Conan felt like his nose was being pricked by needles when he smelled the last smell.

"It's okay. These perfumes may not be very friendly to children. You'd better not smell them too much." The crying clown took the perfume bottle from Conan's hand.

"What do you think about the noisy circus in the past?" Shuichi Akai asked this question.

"It's not a good place. Only that naive guy Mike would treat it as his home." The dancer sighed.

The Crying Clown followed suit, saying, "Natalie and I agree. That place can hardly be called a proper 'home.'"

After asking their questions, the three of them left the room. Amuro Toru looked worried: "I have a feeling that the murderer who attacked Miss Valletta will strike again."

"It seems we need to keep a close eye on it." Akai Shuichi said as he looked at the sky which was already getting dark.

Conan actually had other doubts in his mind: "Why didn't the murderer who attacked Sister Valletta kill her directly? It was as if he didn't want to do it directly. What kind of motive could such a murderer have?"

Late at night, Conan and the wild man were looking after the sleeping spider in the room. Conan looked at the dim light of the desk lamp and felt a little drowsy.

Suddenly, the lights went out, and the savage, who had almost fallen asleep, was immediately awakened: "What's going on? Is there a power outage?"

Then he muttered to himself, "Maybe the heavy snow broke the power lines. This manor is ancient, and the electrical wiring isn't perfect."

Seeing Conan turning on the watch-shaped flashlight, the wild man opened the door and prepared to go out. "Conan, I'll get some candles. Don't run around."
