Chapter 127 Stranded Away from Home, Two Sons
Chapter 127 Stranded Away from Home, Two Sons
Ning Yao sat in the passenger seat, the two children were in the back seat, and Wen Tingye drove himself.
While waiting at a traffic light, Wen Tingye received a phone call. Ning Yao didn't want to listen, but Wen Tingye treated her like family and put the call on speakerphone.
It was an international call, about business.
The other party spoke fluent English about the situation there, basically saying that something had gone wrong with what they were doing, and that the problem was quite serious, requiring Wen Tingye to personally go to Country Y to handle it.
After hanging up the phone, Wen Tingye made a U-turn at the intersection and drove towards Ning Yao's house instead of his own villa.
"You heard that," Wen Tingye said to Ning Yao as he drove.
"Hmm?" Ning Yao raised an eyebrow and looked at Wen Tingye, her beautiful fox-like eyes filled with doubt.
"I need to go to Country Y. I'll leave the children with you for now, and I'll come back to pick them up when I return to China," Wen Tingye explained.
When Wen Aixiu and Wen Baoying heard Wen Tingye's words in the back seat, their eyes lit up at the same time.
Can they really go stay at Mommy's house for a while? That way they can see Mommy and their other younger siblings every day!
Ning Yao remained silent. Of course she would like to live with the children, but would the Wen family elders agree to let the children live with her?
If the two families have a falling out, the children will be caught in the middle and put in a difficult position.
Even if Ning Yao didn't say anything, Wen Tingye could guess what she was thinking, and said in a deep voice, "Just think about whether you're happy or not, don't worry about the rest, I'll handle it."
When are you going back to China?
"It's hard to say."
"Yes, I'll send someone to get the things the child needs."
"I will arrange for someone to deliver everything they need."
Wen Aixiu and Wen Baoying stretched out their arms and cheered. They had always dreamed of being with their mother, and now their dream had come true.
Ning Yao smiled gently; she, too, longed for the time she could spend with the children.
Wen Tingye dropped the people off at the Ning family villa and quickly got into his car and left. Ning Yao and Ai Xiubao stood at the door watching Wen Tingye's car drive away before they turned around and went into the house hand in hand.
Chen Ma had heard the commotion long ago and came out of the house. She saw Ning Yao holding a child in each hand. Judging from their appearance, it could only be Sanbao and Sibao.
Upon closer inspection, Chen Ma realized that these two children were different from the third and fourth children; their expressions and personalities were quite different.
If Sanbao and Sibao saw her appear, they would have rushed over like rockets and called her "Grandma Chen" long ago. They wouldn't be so well-behaved and quiet.
She was quite puzzled and was about to ask Ning Yao when Ning Yao stopped on the bluestone path in the courtyard and explained with a smile.
"You might not believe it, but they are my two children who were separated from their parents. They are the older siblings of my third, fourth, fifth, and sixth children."
Chen's mother stared wide-eyed, completely unable to believe that Ning Yao actually had two more children outside.
These two children are about the same age as the other children. Did Ning Yao give birth to six children at once?
Ning Yao bent down and put her arms around the two children's shoulders. She pointed to Chen Ma and said with a smile, "This is your Grandma Chen. Her desserts are delicious. Let Grandma Chen show you her skills at afternoon tea later."
"Hello, Grandma Chen!" Ai Xiubao greeted Chen Ma politely. Although it wasn't as intimate as with the third, fourth, fifth, and sixth children, she genuinely called Chen Ma "Grandma."
"Hey, Grandma's made you something delicious." Chen Ma gladly accepted Ning Yao's two children and led the two little ones into the house.
Wen Baoying was happy to suddenly have a grandmother. She took out her favorite milk candy from her pocket and gave it to Chen Ma.
Unlike Bao Ying, Wen Aixiu didn't carry milk candy or snacks with her. After thinking for a moment, she took out her favorite small figurine from her pocket and handed it to Chen Ma generously.
After eating the milk candy, Chen Ma sewed the little figurine that Wen Aixiu had given her onto the edge of her shirt pocket. She was good at embroidery, and the figurine was half-tucked into the edge of the pocket, as if it were reaching out to turn its hand into the pocket, making it look very lifelike.
“The two little devils will be staying at home for a while, and then their father will come back to China and pick them up,” Ning Yao told Chen Ma.
"Are you leaving again? Can't you stay here? I'll tidy up two rooms, it won't take much trouble." Chen Ma knew how much Ning Yao missed her children, and having these two little devils with her day and night would cheer her up.
"The house needs to be cleaned, but the child still needs to leave." Ning Yao's voice deepened as she said this.
If she wants to live with her children legitimately, she must marry Wen Tingye and become a member of the Wen family.
However, she hasn't decided whether or not to be with Wen Tingye. It's undeniable that she does have feelings for Wen Tingye, but Ning Yao doesn't know whether these feelings stem from liking him or from the fact that he is the biological father of her children.
She didn't want to get married without a clear plan. If she didn't truly want to be with Wen Tingye, it might not be a good thing for the child to live with both parents.
After all, parental divorce has a greater impact on children, and may even leave a shadow on their hearts.
Upon hearing this, Chen Ma felt a little regretful, but she quickly composed herself and asked Ning Yao about it.
"Okay, I'll go arrange for someone to clean the house right now, and then I'll make you something to eat. Do they have any dietary restrictions?"
"There are no dietary restrictions; you can eat most common ingredients, so please feel free to cook."
"Okay, I understand."
After Chen Ma left, Ning Yao took the child for a stroll around her villa.
Wen Baoying curiously looked around, but couldn't find any of her younger siblings, so she asked Ning Yao.
"Mommy, where are my younger brother and sister? Why aren't any of them here?"
Upon hearing this, Wen Aixiu turned his gaze to Ning Yao, as Bao Ying had asked the same question he wanted to ask.
Ning Yao's calves felt as if they were filled with lead, heavy and aching. She suddenly stopped walking and stood there looking at the two children.
"They will be back soon, and then our family will be reunited."
This isn't something to fool a child. For some reason, Ning Yao has been having a strong premonition lately.
The children will soon be back with her. As long as they can come back, Ning Yao vows she will never speak harshly to the children again, nor will she let them lose their parents' love. She will strive to give them a healthy and happy environment to grow up in.
"That's wonderful! I miss my younger siblings so much, and I've prepared gifts for them too." As the eldest sister, Wen Baoying naturally had to take care of her younger siblings.
She has a beautiful pink recording Barbie doll. Ever since she found out that her mommy had given birth to four younger brothers and sisters for her and her brother, she has been recording herself every day. When she sees them, she turns on the recording, which contains what she wants to say to her younger brothers and sisters.
Seeing her son and daughter being well-behaved, Ning Yao felt a warmth in her heart.
I took Ai Xiubao and Ying for a walk around the villa so they could get familiar with their living environment.
Ning Yao led the child to the restaurant, where Chen Ma had already prepared desserts. The group sat at the table, smiling as they enjoyed the food.
