Chapter 1 A Wonderful Time-Traveling Journey
Chapter 1 A Wonderful Time-Traveling Journey
?
Liu Ye, a top student majoring in Business Administration at Peking University, successfully became the CEO of a company after graduation through years of hard work. Filled with the joy of success, he embarked on a trip to Tibet. During this trip, he met a fellow traveler named Liang Xiaoming. Over the course of several months, they became inseparable, helping each other and experiencing a precious friendship. However, one day, for some unknown reason, the sky was filled with dark clouds, followed by continuous lightning. On a mountain road, Liu Ye was driving, playing pleasant music, and cheerfully asked Liang Xiaoming, who was sitting in the passenger seat, "Mingzi, are you having fun...?" They chatted and laughed, completely unaware of the danger ahead. Suddenly, a huge whirlpool appeared in the sky, but by the time they realized it... it was too late; they were swept into it by a powerful gust of wind...
After a long while, Liu Ye slowly opened his eyes and saw a clear blue sky with white clouds, the sky so clean it was almost unbelievable. His first instinct was to turn his head and see Mingzi beside him. He quickly sat up with all his might and called out several times, "Mingzi, Mingzi, are you alright?" Mingzi weakly opened his eyes and saw a familiar face, feeling a surge of relief. Liu Ye watched Mingzi stare blankly at him, then frantically grabbed his hand and said, "Mingzi, are you alright?" Mingzi weakly replied, "Yezi, I'm fine, just completely weak." Hearing Mingzi's words, Liu Ye's heavy heart finally settled down, and he wiped his wet eyes. Having regained some strength, Liu Ye looked around at their surroundings, then at their tattered clothes. That didn't matter; what mattered was that they had survived the disaster. They were overjoyed, the two grown men hugging each other and jumping for joy. After calming down, Liu Ye carefully organized his thoughts and cautiously asked, "Do you remember what happened before?"
Liang Xiaoming rubbed his forehead and said, "I remember, this afternoon, we were chatting when suddenly a whirlpool pulled us in, and then we don't know how we ended up in this godforsaken place." Recalling that terrifying moment, both of them shuddered.
"And then we lay down here..." The two looked around again. The seawater gently lapped against the golden beach. There was no trash, the air was fresh, and it was quiet all around.
“My intuition tells me that the first possibility is that we are already dead, in a beautiful paradise,” Liu Ye said to Liang Xiaoming, turning to him.
Liang Xiaoming didn't reply, but took a few more steps forward, thought for a moment, and then turned to Liu Ye, saying, "I bit my arm, and based on my feeling, I think we're probably not dead."
Liu Ye continued his analysis: "The incident happened in Tibet, and Tibet doesn't have a sea—could it be…" He paused, then grabbed Liang Xiaoming's collar with a tense expression and said, "Could it be like what they say on TV, that we…we…time traveled…?"
Liang Xiaoming also said nervously, "No way, my family is still here, I would never abandon them... Yezi, this can't be real, right?" He then shouted to Liu Ye, "What do we do, what do we do, are we going to die here?"
