Chapter 28 Wings of the Wind
Chapter 28 Wings of the Wind
"【Total Eclipse of the Heart】"
"A cone-shaped device made from an unknown rock material. When the central cones are perpendicular to each other, the device will enter a dormant state."
When the cones are parallel to each other, the equipment will enter an active state. In the active state, any object that intersects with the outer ring pathway will be eroded, and after erosion, the object will be decomposed into basic particle forms.
This device is generally used to decompose waste materials from the space station and transform them into materials usable in laboratories. It is worth noting that once a certain quantity of materials are decomposed using this device, the corrosive effects will expand, having a significant negative impact on the mental and physical health of living organisms.
Do not activate without the space station's written permission.
"Uh... this feels so dangerous!" March 7th immediately took two steps back.
"Hmm, but judging from this description, it seems to be a space station's garbage collection machine?"
"It seems so..." March 7th immediately felt relieved.
"Hey! There seems to be a gun over there. Is that also a rare item?"
On March 7th, his thoughts were immediately drawn to that place again, and he ran over there as fast as he could.
It was a gun that was entirely yellow, with a large eyeball on it.
[Score-setting gun]
This thing looks similar to a common forehead thermometer, but it has a slightly closed eye that will wander around mischievously the moment you pick it up, which is rather creepy.
Clearly, its principle is not based on infrared light, and it has its own constant scoring system. Simply "beep" it on a common object, and you'll find that the large glass door of the laboratory scores 10 points, while the bouquet of flowers in space scores 2 points. As for its internal scoring logic, every researcher has their own explanation, which could even be compiled into a book titled "A Study of the Scoring Logic of the Scoring Gun."
After reading the note on the notice board, March 7th became interested and immediately beckoned Eve over, "Sister Eve, Sister Eve, come quick, there's something fun here!"
"What?" Eve walked over in confusion.
March 7th pointed at the gun and said, "This gun seems to be able to score people, why don't we give it a try?"
"this....."
Before Eve could finish speaking, March 7th took down the floating gun.
"Let's give it a try, there's no harm in it." March 7's eyes were full of excitement, she couldn't wait to know her score.
"Sigh, fine..." Eve covered her face helplessly.
I wasn't watching carefully enough on March 7th and this happened... sigh...
On March 7th, he immediately pointed the scoring gun at himself. The large eye on the gun snapped open, darting around with a hint of lewdness.
A short while later, the gun gave the result.
[Individual Name: March 7th]
[Score: Unable to be determined!]
"Huh? That's strange, why are there no scores? Is it broken?" March 7th shook the gun in confusion.
The big-eyed guy on the gun was almost making me dizzy, but it still wasn't changed.
"Sister Eve, try it and see if it's broken?" March 7th handed the score gun to Eve.
"Is it broken?" Eve asked, puzzled.
"Because it says I can't measure it," March 7th nodded, saying indignantly.
"Then I'll give it a try."
Eve aimed the score gun at herself; she was actually quite curious about how many points she could get.
The big-eyed guy on the gun continued his sleazy work and soon gave the results.
[Individual Name: Eve Yggdrasil]
[Score: Unable to be determined!]
"Strange, I can't determine it either?"
"Could it really be broken?" Eve looked at the gun in her hand with a puzzled expression.
March 7th sighed helplessly, "Probably so. The Black Tower's artifacts have always been stored here, and there's bound to be one or two that break down."
"Forget it, let's look at something else!"
On March 7th, he put the scoring gun back on the display stand and then strode towards another unusual item.
Eve stopped paying attention to March 7th and started looking around on her own.
She walked up to a strange object; what appeared to be fragments of a sword were displayed on the stand.
The fragment was entirely red, but it was very dull.
Fragments of the Unknown Sword
Several deep red fragments floated in the air, drawn together by an unseen force, outlining the shape of a broken blade. Their mottled surfaces resembled a wasteland ravaged by fire, telling tales of its past.
The debris was retrieved from space by space station crew members; it was covered in a thick layer of ice when it was first found.
After Eve finished reading the notice board, she seemed to sense a source of energy that was somewhat similar to that within her own body.
But she still had no idea what it was.
She shook her head and was about to leave when she suddenly sensed a very familiar presence.
She was very familiar with that scent, like a chrysanthemum spinning in the wind, or a Celia flower blooming on a hillside, a gentle breeze carrying a hint of wine.
It smells like... the scent of a drunkard!
Eve immediately looked over and saw a pair of black wings floating on the distant display stand.
The wings were entirely black, framed by white gold borders, with a blue gem at the very center, dotted with tiny starlight, and the air around them carried the subtle scent of wind.
Eve stared at the pair of black wings, her eyes wide with shock and her expression somewhat bewildered.
"This is... the Wings of Wind???"
