Chapter 330: Abyss Art Museum (Part )

Looking at the leisurely-looking mercenary, Toru Amuro couldn't help but ask, "Is this the experimental site of your Oletus organization? But it seems that no one has maintained it for a long time."

"It's normal. This is an abandoned shelter. The experimental animals here should have been transported away, but some should be left." Without Gin watching, the mercenary revealed the appearance of the "man in red" and teased a few flying white butterflies.

Suddenly, a huge mouth full of sharp teeth flew over and swallowed the little butterflies in one gulp.

Toru Amuro: ! ! !

"What is that? It's silent and so fast!" Toru Amuro quickly raised his gun and pointed it at the flying black shadow.

The mercenary frowned and shouted to the black shadow that was trying to escape: "Hey, give me back my things."

What Toru Amuro didn't expect was that the black shadow actually flew back. Upon closer inspection, he found that it was a treasure chest with bat wings.

The man-eating treasure chest opened its mouth, and a tongue stretched out from it. Several white butterflies had been crushed into powder.

"Tsk, who did you learn this temper from..." The mercenary grabbed the wings of the Man-Eating Treasure Chest with one hand and complained, then used his other hand to fiercely pry a tooth out of the treasure chest's mouth.

As the mercenary released his hand, the aggrieved man-eating treasure chest immediately closed its mouth and flew away.

"What kind of creature is that?" Toru Amuro thought it was probably a Chiroptera creature disguised as a treasure chest.

"I don't know. If I say that it was once the base for an energy core, would you believe it?"

Amuro Toru shook his head in disbelief. This was too bizarre. What energy source could turn a dead object into a living thing? Not even nuclear pollution could do that.

The two continued walking in, and came to a dead end. Amuro Toru wanted to remind the mercenary to stop, after all, there was a wall in front of him. However, the mercenary just waved his hand and walked straight through the wall.

Amuro Toru couldn't believe his eyes, he reached out and tried to touch the wall, but he couldn't feel anything. So Amuro Toru also passed through the wall.

"Holographic projection?" Toru Amuro looked back at the wall that still existed and asked.

"It's an 'optical mirror', a great tool for concealing your presence, much better than a holographic projection. Unfortunately, it's bound to this lab, so you can't take it away."

Toru Amuro really wanted to take this prop. After all, a camouflage prop that could completely conceal one's body shape could be very useful at any time. But after hearing what the mercenary said, he had no choice but to give up.

The passage inside seems to lead to a display room containing various collectibles.

"Huh? This is the Sand of Time?" The mercenary picked up the golden, funnel-shaped bottle, which contained some fine golden powder.

Amuro Toru leaned over curiously: "Sands of Time? What is that?"

The mercenary suddenly smashed the small funnel in front of Amuro Toru, and the golden powder instantly spread out. Then, the mercenary fired a shot at the powder.

Toru Amuro was startled by the mercenary's sudden attack, and then he was surprised to see that the bullet was delayed in the golden powder for nearly ten seconds. After ten seconds, the golden powder dissipated and the bullet fell to the ground without causing any damage.

"This!" Amuro Toru was shocked. He couldn't imagine how powerful this substance would be if used with a bulletproof vest.

"Unfortunately, it's a one-time use, lasting about ten seconds. Its effect is to create a hysteresis field that can negate some attacks." The mercenary picked up a little powder from the ground. "There's not enough left to make a full bottle."

Toru Amuro just felt that the Oritis organization was squandering resources. With so many scientific research products, why not do something good with them? Why did they have to become an illegal organization?

Suddenly, Toru Amuro felt some creature running past his feet. He immediately looked down and saw that it seemed to be a football with legs.

The "football" then opened like a flower, but it was not a blooming flower, but a big mouth full of sharp teeth.

"Is it the same mimicry as the treasure chest just now?" Toru Amuro stared at the blooming "football" with a vigilant look on his face.

The mercenary stopped Amuro Toru and said, "That's a ball flower. I remember it was a mascot made by the manor for a football match."

Toru Amuro hesitated to speak, thinking: Your mascot is too abstract. I guess no team would dare to have such a mascot.

"This little guy will only react when he hears the whistle on the court. Ignore him." The mercenary watched the ball flower get into the locker.

The next second, the ball flower came out with another flower, a small flower that looked more like a carnivorous plant. Unlike the black and white color scheme of the ball flower, the small flower was green and looked more vibrant.

The mercenary and Toru Amuro just watched Qiuhua and Xiaohua run away using their roots.

Toru Amuro felt that he had been speechless the most times today. He thought there would be surprises in the abandoned laboratory of the Oritis Organization. Although there were surprises, there were also too many nonsensical things.

"It seems that we have some relatively friendly experimental creatures here, so the ones above are probably in trouble." The mercenary crossed his arms and looked up at the ceiling. The light tubes on the ceiling flickered on and off.

After thinking for a while, Amuro Toru asked, "Is it even more dangerous up there? What kind of dangerous experimental creatures are there in the lab on the floor where Gin and Vodka are?"

The mercenary turned to look at Amuro Toru: "No, I mean the top."

Amuro Toru was a little unconvinced. "The outer members of the villa area at the top reported that it was where all kinds of artworks were displayed, including sculptures, paintings, and the like. Are those more dangerous?"

"If I'm not mistaken, those so-called 'artworks' are the products of the pollution leak during the COA-III experiment. Those things...are more about appearance."

"What do you mean?" Amuro Toru became nervous. Of course, he was not worried about the safety of other members of the Black Organization. He was just worried that the dangerous experimental creatures would run away and hurt ordinary people.

"If they're lucky, they'll be in a trance for a few days at most. If they're unlucky, they might suffer mental disorder at best, or even die without a complete body. Those peripheral members were lucky. Or maybe they saw that the upper floor was an art gallery and skipped it, going straight to the lab?"

"The labs on the first basement floor probably contain some dangerous items, possibly contaminants. On the other hand, the second basement floor is like a zoo, completely harmless, and even contains scientific research artifacts from the past."

As the mercenary was wondering what kind of creature would be up there, the light tube on the ceiling flickered again, which made Amuro Toru alert.

In the darker corridor in the distance, a long shadow was approaching them, and from time to time it made some clanging sounds that only mechanical structures could make.

"Do you have any mechanical products here?" Toru Amuro pointed his gun at the corridor.

The mercenary looked at the shadow on the ground. The front end of the shadow looked like two forks.

"I roughly know which little guy is coming." The mercenary laughed as he looked at Amuro Toru, who was facing a great enemy.

Toru Amuro ignored the mercenary's teasing. In his opinion, the mercenary now possessed super strong self-healing ability, and the "little guy" he mentioned might not be a simple person.
